Showtime Trivia - Brian's Bitching!

Season 14 Week Seven Bitch - End of the Season
Right now most of us are experiencing a really bad type of hangover. Ok, most of it is from the alcohol we were drinking last night (who the hell does 12 Tequila Luge shots???) but the kind of hangover I am referring to happens to folks around the nation and it is far worse than an alcohol hangover.

I am referring to, of course, the Ravens being booted from the playoffs.

Certainly one can substitute your team in for the Ravens if you are not a Ravens fan. Ravens fans today are feeling the exact pain I felt last week when my beloved Packers were cheated out of advancing in the playoffs. At least the Cardinals had Kurt Karma come back and bite them in the ass. Serves them right. Bastards.

This morning though us Ravens fans woke up with that all-too-familiar sick feeling of having those damn Colts beat us...again...and we now must face it. What the hell happened last night? Honestly I think our defense played just fine (better than fine) except for the couple turnovers we had and then lost. It's our offense that sucked the bag last night. You can say Flacco was hurt, blah blah blah, but the fact of the matter is that our O sucks against the Colts D for whatever reason.

Now, I am not an NFL head coach or offensive coordinator, or even close to one, but I am pretty sure I know when things don't work. Note to the big brass at the Ravens: what you have been doing for the past 8 games against the Colts hasn't worked. Call me crazy, call me a rebel, but that's just my take on it. Maybe do things differently? Hmm? Actually pass on first down? There's a cool concept. Did McGahee even touch the ball last night? At all? Seriously?

So us Ravens fans now head into the offseason. There is still football to be played, but right now we don't really care about that. We look back at Saturday night and shake our heads in disgust, and we knee-jerk react to what we need to do in the offseason. We need a receiver!! We need pass rush!! We need more hot cheerleaders!! Ok, that last one might have just been my thought. I guarantee I wasn't alone there though.

All I can say is, I feel your pain. Offices around Maryland are putting away the purple banners and flags and Ravens support, and it's truly back to the same old boring offices. That's really depressing. While it is going to be a long off season and a long time until the Ravens start mini-camp, we can take comfort in the fact that the Bears and the Steelers still suck.

Unfortunately it was only after the game could Suggs actually get to Manning

Hey Ed look out behind y...nevermind.

Let's all just pretend this is what really happened. It's easier this way.
