Showtime Trivia Online! It's here! Here's what you need to know: First grab the chat app called Discord - it's available on mobile devices and desktops in the App/Play Store or at www.discordapp.com. For Team Play on Discord Team Discord games are played on a separate Discord Server. Teams will designate a Team Captain who will join the game and assign the team members. Each team will have private Discord channels in which to chat (both text and voice) and discuss answers. The Team Captain will be the one to turn in the team's answer for each question. NOTE: The format of the TEAM GAME will match the format of the LIVE GAME. 3 Rounds per half with 3 questions per round, with intermission and Final Q. It's like being live - only not!! To access the Team Discord server please CLICK HERE Discord now HAS video chat! When your Team Captain joins the game and adds you to the team, you'll get two channels created for you. One of them is the text channel, which is where TeamShowBot will send the questions and answers, and where the Team Captain will send the answer in from, the other is a voice channel that you guys can use for talking to each other, but in addition, you can also connect and stream your video feeds so that you guys can see each other too! All you have to do is click on the voice chat channel for your team, and then click Video that will appear right above your name at the bottom. Make sure to also click the microphones and headphones if they have a red line through them, as that is how you mute your microphone and the audio as well. You can also hit the Phone with an X to disconnect from the audio and video. How To Play Once the host starts the game, a message will be posted in the #lounge and in the #gameroom channels by TeamShowBot. After you logon to the Showtime Online room please join the game by typing !joingame in the #lounge. TeamShowBot will then ask you for your team name that you can set by typing !teamname WhatEverYouWantYourTeamNameToBe. TeamShowBot will then create your private channels for your team. You will send your answers in via the text chat, and TeamShowBot will tell you how to do that. Anything anywhere else won't count. In order to answer a question please click on your team text chat and format your answer in this way: !answer "answer" POINTS: "points to wager". For example - if your answer you wanted to type in is BLUE and you wanted to use 3 points, then answer to TeamShowBot like this in your team's text channel: !answer BLUE POINTS: 3or !answer blue POINTS: 3 If you've answered in the correct format, TeamShowBot will reply with "Answer Received!". Questions, answers and scores will be posted in the #gameroom, send all your answers via your team chat to TeamShowBot. Obviously we can't see what you're doing on the other side of the screen, so we are playing on the honor system, so don't go looking up answers on the Internet!
